JOB PURPOSE:
Responsibility for identifying and addressing business compliance risks and issues for ADP South Africa, supporting the integration of regulatory compliance requirements into business practices and fostering ADP's culture of compliance. The Business Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting ADP's compliance programs as they relate to the ADP South Africa business / operations. Reports into Director of Business Excellence, UK, Ireland and South Africa.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partnering with Legal, Global Compliance and ADP UK, Ireland and South Africa business leaders to define the strategy to ensure compliance of ADP South Africa's business and operations and mitigate risks associated with such business and operations
Support for the identification and investigation of business/operational compliance requirements, risks and issues based on applicable regulatory frameworks, and a deep understanding of the business and industry best practice
Lead the implementation of the business/operational compliance strategy, developing and implementing processes and tools to mitigate risks
Project manage the implementation of compliance related projects, managing deliverables across teams to ensure delivery on time and within budget
Maintain a risk register, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are made aware of and kept informed of compliance risks and related actions and providing progress updates to senior stakeholders including ADP UK, Ireland and South Africa ExCom and senior R&D and Product leaders
Run regular ADP South Africa Compliance Committee meetings
Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and ongoing buy in and support for compliance projects and actions
Ensure remediation of findings discovered by compliance activities
Ensure that processes are in place to ensure business/operational compliance (including written Standard Operating Procedures) and that these are being followed
Support UKISA Legal Director on investigating any areas where legislation is unclear and on approach to client issues
Ensure that correct processes are followed on procurement and compliance of suppliers
Reinforce anti bribery and corruption rules
Ensure that correct process is followed for HR related processes such as hiring, onboarding and termination of Associates - in line with ADP values, including meeting diversity and inclusion organisational objectives
Act as Privacy Steward Delegate with respect to ADP South Africa business and addressing related business/operational compliance requirements
Act as Records Information Management Champion in line with POPIA requirements
Act as escalation point on any questions over product compliance and engage with payroll product supplier (Sage) to ensure clarity on any questions over the way in which the payroll product supports legislation. Ensure that adequate documentation is available on legislation changes and the way in which they are supported in the product
Support UKISA Finance team in ensuring compliance with financial legislation.
Act as Business Resiliency Champion - Carry out Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning and associated reporting
Support UKISA Audit Manager on SOC1 audit (depending on capacity once the above areas were covered - otherwise we have alternative arrangements for covering this)
Support UKISA Business Security Manager on managing and reducing the risk of security incidents (depending on capacity once the above areas were covered - otherwise we have alternative arrangements for covering this)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, supporting business operations in African nations from a compliance perspective
General knowledge of privacy law principles - based on the European Union, Africa or other jurisdictions
Knowledge of human capital management industry, or components thereof, preferred
Experience in performing diligence / checks on third party vendors / suppliers
Experience in operational compliance monitoring, and mitigation measures for combating potential risks relating to AML / anti-bribery / anti-corruption and business security incidents
Experience in large corporate environment, global experience preferred
Proven track record of successful completion of compliance projects involving cross business and cross functional teams
Experience in operational compliance monitoring, and mitigations measures for combating potential risks relating to AML / anti-bribery / anti-corruption and business security incidents

Able to build relationships and a strong network within ADP UK, Ireland and South Africa and globally
Strong Project Management skills with ability to own and drive projects to successful completion

Proficient with Microsoft Office with high level proficiency in Project, Excel and PowerPoint
Business Process Improvement
Travel to other ADP sites will be required.
