Job Description

　　Insight Global's building automation client is looking for a Controls Technician to service clients in the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate has knowledge of digital controls concepts and help resolve issues at customer sites. This person will be responsible for going to customer sites, address issues or concerns related to the control system, communicate with the customer about the cause and effect, and follow up with a resolution on what repairs were completed. Other responsibilities include:

　　* Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in person.

　　* Always practicing safety in the field.

　　* Reporting on projects and expenses- ordering materials that may be needed for a repair.

　　* Resolve technical problems related to HVAC systems.

　　* Program control systems using appropriate system program language.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　* Associate or trade school degree.

　　* 3-5 years of experience with control systems.

　　* Knowledge in troubleshooting, commissioning, testing, calibrating, and repairing control systems.

　　* Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

　　* Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate Windows and Microsoft Office.

　　* Previous experience in industrial maintenance, relay logic, PLC programming, or automation. * Experience with building automation softwares such as Tridium. null
