The Boat/Snowmobile Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all sales activities at a single store location and assisting sales associates in closing deals with customers. The position provides professional leadership to staff to ensure full compliance with the company’s high customer service vision standards.
Pay: $80K-$120K annually
Job Duties:
Evaluate customer needs and budget in selecting the appropriate boats/snowmobiles for sales associates to present to customers; negotiate and close customer deals when needed or requested
Analyze and solve customer issues promptly, consistent with company service standards
Conduct inspections on customer trades; inspect trades after reconditioning and final repair decisions or service charges
Conduct daily lead development meetings; attend and participate in weekly sales meetings; ensure 100% compliance with monthly employee one-on-one sessions
Coordinate, plan and follow through on routine assignments and execute special projects with precision
Attend off-site shows and events as requested
Assist in the execution of company sales programs, policies, procedures and dealership initiatives
Advise and guide sales associates on procedural and sales training rules or guidelines in accordance with company policies and programs
Handle money or other media within company guidelines
Implement steps, policies and systems to meet or exceed sales goals, targets and expectations
Ensure all sales related Finance & DMV laws, procedures and steps are followed as written
Establish strong, professional working relationships with manufacturer representatives and outside vendors
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directly supervises the Sales Associates and Receptionist, and as the senior management leader in the building, has joint oversight of all other staff on site. Responsibilities include making hiring recommendations; instructing and training in work methods; planning, scheduling and assigning work; checking and approving work; evaluating performance; and recommending disciplinary actions regarding unsatisfactory employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Combined 5 years’ experience in customer service and a mid-level management/leadership role
3 years’ experience in vehicle and/or boat sales
Saturday work required
