About AWS Manager

  Work you'll do

  As an AWS Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating AWS-related initiatives and operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient implementation, management, and optimization of AWS services. Your role will involve strategic planning, resource allocation, team management, and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies aligned with the organization's goals to leverage AWS services effectively.

  Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of AWS specialists, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  Project Management: Oversee the implementation of AWS solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently, including budget, manpower, and infrastructure, to optimize AWS services.

  Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and implement scalable solutions.

  Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor AWS infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and security protocols in all AWS operations.

  Vendor Management: Liaise with AWS vendors, manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and stay updated on new services and features.

  This role is located in Sacramento, CA.

  Qualifications

  Required:

  12+ years' experience working with AWS services and managing AWS-based solutions

  6+ years of experience in leading teams and delivering complex projects

  6+ years of experience with AWS technologies, architectures, and best practices

  6+ years of experience with compliance, security, and risk management in AWS environments

  Bachelor's degree

  Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  Preferred:

  Bachelor's OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders

  Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are highly desirable

  Strong leadership and project management skills

  The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $144,600 to $241,000.

  You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
