The Associate Manager, Marketing Communications & Digital is a key member of the Strategic Marketing team and is responsible to establish and execute creative priorities aligned with the brand vision. This role will be a strong advocate for the BD brand and will champion a One BD approach to achieve our marketing imperatives.

Brand & Vision
Champion the BD brand through the development and execution of One BD campaigns that help to bring the BD brand to life.
Lead and establish priorities for the local Brand Ambassador team.
Work with the Global Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications team; ensures that the needs of the Canadian organization and customers are understood and represented.
Work with the strategic marketing team to measure brand equity and deploy strategies to increase brand equity.
Campaign Planning and Execution
Design content marketing strategies optimized for attracting, educating, and retaining customers.
Acts as a resource to business unit marketing teams in the development and execution of Omni-channel campaigns.
Consult on creative design projects and provide creative design support for Tier 2 and 3 deliverables.
Support digital marketing activities as required including email, landing pages, social media ads etc.
Provide backup Program Management support to the Digital Program Manager.
Develop and maintain content calendar for the Strategic Marketing & Communications team.
Partner with the Communications Manager on various projects spanning internal and external communications.
Agency Management
Manage the relationship with external marketing agencies through regular business reviews and stakeholder feedback.
Work with agency partners to optimize processes to complete projects efficiently.
Develop creative briefs and help assess agency deliverables.
Additional Responsibilities
Represent Canada on the global Ad-Prom steering committee.
Provide subject matter expertise on VeevaVault PromoMats system and coordinate review and approval of promotional materials for the Strategic Marketing, Public Affairs and Strategic Customer Group teams.
Lead and coordinate the monthly One BD marketing communication process for product discontinuations.
Act as Digital Asset Manager (DAM) librarian for Canada.
Maintain the BD-Canada Conference Calendar.
Provides backup support on tech stack including GlobalMeet, Marketo Engage and ShowPad.
Support the maintenance of bd.com content and e-catalogue.
After hours / weekend monitoring of BD-Canada social media accounts per rotation schedule.
Skills and Competencies
Superior graphic design skills and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Experienced in Windows 10 and PC software, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Experience with video creation; production, editing and posting experience highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Organized and demonstrates strong attention to detail, effectively prioritize multiple tasks and establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans.
Independent self-starter with ability to work as a member of a team.
Social media marketing experience strongly preferred.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, marketing, communications, or visual design.
3+ years of creative design experience.
Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is mandatory.
Previous experience working with external agencies and/or previous agency experience preferred.
Experience navigating a matrix environment in a large organization.
Demonstrated project management skills with experience in agile and scrum preferred.
Experience with salesforce.com, Adobe Marketo Engage and Adobe Experience Manager strongly preferred.
Prior experience in med tech, pharma or consumer packaged goods an asset.
Bilingual (French/ English) speaking, read & write strongly preferred.
This Hybrid role will be based in BD-Canada Headquarters located in Mississauga, Ontario and may require up to 20% travel.
