Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you develop, oversee, drive, and directly manage the implementation of the overarching category strategy in the assigned areas of responsibility.
You bring market knowledge and potential innovations to BI to ensure continuous improvement and competitiveness while leading a multi-disciplinary, international business team to optimize external spend and drive process innovation.
With your expertise, you establish effective relationship management with internal business partners (BPs) to analyze and optimize the use of internal demand.
You are responsible to align goals with Boehringer Ingelheim’s overall objectives in collaboration with the Head of Global Category while also monitoring and governing the relationships with key suppliers.
In addition, you train the team in building mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers for continuous performance improvement or early resolution of potential issues.
Lastly, you lead and drive sourcing projects within the Sourcing Area.
Requirements
Master’s degree or Diploma in natural science or business administration combined with a strong knowledge of clinical development
Experience in managing and establishing complex categories paired with a track record in leading international teams
Sound knowledge of the global CRO market for clinical development and keen to strive for innovation which enhance our competitiveness.
Strategic, open-minded, motivated, persuasive, and perseverant personality with outstanding internal and external relationship management skills
Willingness to travel (approximately 15% of your working time); fluency in English; German or additional language skills are an asset
