About Associate Director, Patient Services

  Reference #: 1326Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for a Associate Director, Patient Services in our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. In this role you will be responsible for assisting and managing the day-to-day operations of the patient service programs in coordination with selected third-party program vendor(s). This individual will drive alignment and a high-level of collaboration cross-functionally to ensure compliance especially as it relates to patient privacy requirements.  The position requires a highly organized and motivated individual that can work cross-functionally to accomplish assigned objectives. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for the management of the patient services offerings, in particular, Copay support and the Free Goods programs, the development of new initiatives and implementation and identifying and reporting of KPIs and other metrics as needed to manage the patient services program.  The exact title will be commensurate with the individual's experience; this position will report to the Senior Director of Patient Services.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Management responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  Copay support, Free Goods programs, Case Management support, and Specialty Pharmacy support.Enhance and execute the patient services plan, including reimbursement and financial support, to effective and efficiently implement the patient services strategy by managing program operations and budget management.Develop and maintain specific standard operating procedures, business rules, process flows, communications, and day-to-day operations management of patient service programs.Ability to understand and utilize the patient journey to optimize patient engagement and adherence while on therapy.Build strong internal and external relationships, leveraging expertise to strengthen the value proposition regarding the overall patient experience.Collaborate with other Harmony departments as required to:Achieve corporate goals and missions for the overall strategy, objectives and key performance indicators for patient services, aligning with the trade distribution network.Differentiate and promote awareness of the patient services program among the key external stakeholders.Direct interaction with field teams to ensure timely resolution to customer issuesDrive fiscal responsibility with the operational budget and cost savings initiativesEnsure data integrity and adequate data flows between the company and relevant vendors that  support patient services, in particular, for copay and free goods. Ensure reporting of accurate information to senior management as well as other key internal teams as appropriate.Involvement in data analysis and reportingWork closely with members of Legal and Compliance departments to ensure that patient service initiatives are aligned with Harmony's values and principles, as well as the relevant laws and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required' Master's Degree preferred BA/BS required, MBA/MS preferred8+ years of working in the pharma/biotech space required; 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience working with in a patient services and/or marketing function / and or Market Access and / or Sales in a specialty market required; strong understanding of typical functions and procedures.Experience with rare/orphan diseases and specialty pharmacies strongly preferred.Experience with understanding the requirements for data feeds/integration and associated reportingUnderstanding and proficiency in data analysis and reporting are a plusExperience of strong partnership working with both corporate and field-based teams.High ethical & quality standards and lives them through actions and communicationAbility to rapidly assimilate information, prioritize and manage to timelines.Strong analytic skills to evaluate trends and identify opportunities for pr gram improvements.Demonstrated success in managing relationships and operations in a pharmaceutical healthcare environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to colleagues, business partners, stakeholders and upper management across varied styles and cultures (written, verbal, and presentation)Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically ExcelPhysical demands and work environment:Domestic travel is estimated to be 30% of the time for this position.While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision.Manual dexterity required to use computers, tablets, and cell phone.Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.What can Harmony offer you?Medical, Vision and Dental benefits the first of the month following start dateGenerous paid time off and Company designated HolidaysCompany paid Disability benefits and Life Insurance coverage401(k) Retirement Savings PlanPaid Parental leaveEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Company sponsored wellness programsProfessional development initiatives and continuous learning opportunitiesA certified Great Place to Work for five consecutive years based on our positive, values-based company culture
