　　Team Overview

　　This role is part of an application development function within Aladdin Engineering - Enterprise Engineering team focusing on MylifePath (Retirement Annuity product) using cloud capabilities within BlackRock's powerful asset management platform. Members of our team have a consistent track record of solving some of the firms most difficult problems in a scalable, resilient, and secure manner. We are passionate about solving difficult problems through technology and are focused on utilizing the cloud services to solve large scale challenges. This team will provide application development & support - building user interface and integrations for MylifePath apps for internal & external services.

　　The position

　　We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer, passionate about building quality software and scaling technology to meet the needs of tomorrow. You will be part of Enterprise Engineering team, developing applications and systems for MylifePath for our external customers. You will participate in the continuous improvement of our production and staging/QA environments.

　　A successful candidate has:

　　A passion of application development using microservices architecture with Kotlin programming language.Prior experience in financial industry and/or insurance company is preferred.Good knowledge of Spring technologies: SpringBoot, Spring integration, Spring security and Spring data, Spring Cloud ContractWorking experience on testing framework: JUnit, CucumberWorking experience on Integration framework: Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus,Database knowledge on database technologies: Azure CosmobDB, MS SQLA passion for building highly available, performant, and secure messaging systems that our clients can trustExperience with orchestration and container engines such as Kubernetes and Docker is preferredAn education in computer science or equivalent practical experiencePassion for the possibilities represented by cloud platforms

　　BS/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in related fieldMinimum 6 years' experience as Application development or similar positionGood understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.Good understanding of Source Control, Bug Tracking, Scrum Management and Continuous Integration toolsProblem Solving skillsStrong communication, time management, organization, attention to detailCuriosity and drive to learn new things and build new solutions
