Prudential Financial is a life insurance & asset management industry leader that provides innovative solutions to a variety of markets. This positions primary focus is Economic Scenarios (with a secondary focus on STAT ALM user acceptance testing and production work) as part of the Enterprise Valulation and Projections Stat Projections team within the Finance and Actuarial Organization. In this role, the associate will drive projects that have a significant impact across Actuarial while interacting with a variety of Financial Management partners.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical expertise on economic scenario usage for actuarial purposes across the Enterprise (STAT, economic, etc.), driving/implementing changes where appropriate.
Serves as the key resource in performing the monthly, quarterly, & annual production processes for STAT valuation purposes related to economic scenarios, accounting requirements and simplified investment modeling.
Support of STAT ALM production work including support of Individual Retirement and Group Insurance AAT and related processes.
Support of user acceptance testing new STAT ALM and asset functionality used in AAT across domestic business units.
Partners closely with others on the Governance, Technology, and Valuation teams to ensure adherence to appropriate corporate governance, controls, and documentation policies/procedures.
Support ad-hoc scenario and discount curve generation requests, internal audit reviews, etc.
What youll need:
Actuarial, ALM and/or investment experience preferably in an insurance company context.
Proficient knowledge of ESGs (Economic Scenario Generators) and their usage within financial industry context (preferably insurance). Exposure to economic scenarios development, and familiarity with STAT reporting would be a plus.
Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, and / or AXIS highly desired
Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute across multiple work efforts simultaneously in order to meet both production related items for STAT reporting and drive new initiatives.
Strong verbal & written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical challenges & writing documentation.
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or a related field.
Primary location for position is in the Newark, NJ or Hartford, CT office, but open to remote as well.
ASA/FSA or close to FSA preferred.

The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
