  Job Type: Officer of AdministrationRegular/Temporary: RegularHours Per Week: 35Salary Range: $61,500 - $72,000The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

  Position Summary

  Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement and Programs, the Assistant Director, Alumni Clubs is the alumni relations liaison to a portfolio of major market alumni clubs across domestic and international regions. The incumbent will volunteer and manage relationship management, providing best practices for club leadership, and ensuring the club communities are provided with opportunities for continuous learning and engagement with faculty, fellow alumni and the School, both in-person and virtually through club events and programs. The Assistant Director will partner with the Director of Alumni Engagement and Programs in the planning of the Annual CBS Alumni Clubs Leadership Summit.

  The Assistant Director will work with the Director to recruit potential new leaders, develop volunteer initiatives, build training modules, and track and increase engagement. This individual will work closely with other colleagues across Alumni Relations and the Development offices to maximize development opportunities such as alumni hosting and sponsorship to benefit CBS and their assigned alumni clubs regionally. This position includes occasional travel both domestically and internationally.

  Responsibilities

  Collaborates with development and alumni colleagues and other key internal stakeholders to support assigned clubs with their goals and objectives and advance the development and engagements efforts.Contributes to the design and execution of programming and events to strengthen alumni, in-person and virtually - including developing new programs that authentically engage new audiences in key regions.Leads on the development and execution of strategy, programming, and communications for assigned alumni clubs.Provides assigned clubs with best practices and tools as it relates to the development and implementation of effective processes, procedures, and governance for managing club leaders, and volunteers and developing programming. This includes utilizing the clubs tiered matrix to provide guidance to club leaders regarding key performance indicators and metrics for tracking and measuring club success, engagement, and growth.Partners with CBS Faculty to develop intellectual and academic programming for top-tier regions based on clubs tiered matrix requirements.Takes an active role in club formation, volunteer leadership development, leadership transition/succession planning, and managing and recruiting volunteers.Manages the logistics for special events, projects, and meetings related to clubs and affinity groups as needed. Including managing the process to upload events contracts, event briefings, tracking updates, and assisting with marketing and communications of events.Uses appropriate metrics, tracking, and assessment tools to measure activity and growth.Manages budget for assigned regional clubs.Assists with CBS flagship events as needed.Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree required. At least 2-4 years of related work experience required.Previous higher education or volunteer management experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management platforms required. A valid driver's license, passport, and willingness to travel frequently is required. Some night and weekend work will be required.Experience developing innovative programming, managing alumni events, and developing new programs, managing and developing volunteer leaders, and providing strategic management for identifying and developing future volunteer leaders is preferred.Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment.Have demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including project management, teamwork, analytical thinking, and client/customer awareness and service.Possess excellent critical thinking, analytical, organizational skills, and leadership qualities.Must be detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and work independently in a dynamic team environment.Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with a diverse group of administrators and academic leaders.Ability to effectively communicate with and navigate diverse constituencies such as alumni, principal donors, board members, and leaders in the field.Strong interest and an understanding of intellectual content and how to leverage it to create value for alumni.
