　　Team Overview

　　The Proprietary Data Analytics team produces strategic research to answer questions most relevant to credit markets. It relies heavily on both Moody's proprietary data and external databases. Our economists and analytics & modeling analysts work closely with rating analysts at Moody's to provide quantitative backing to rating decisions.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　We are seeking a detailed-oriented, well organized summer intern to work with our team for the summer. As a summer intern at Moody's, you will play a key role working closely with our analytics & modelling analysts and economists to write code that brings together Moody's proprietary and external datasets to produce key strategy credit products.With your solid understanding of quantitative methods and coding skills, you will be contributing to thought-leading research and quantitative analysis feeding directly into Moody's Core Strategic Objectives.

　　Qualifications

　　Working towards a Master of Science in Computer Science/Programming/Computational Science and Engineering or similarSolid understanding of computer programming: design, implementation, compilation, unit testingSolid understanding of data engineering and data pipelines.Proficient in R and in particular the tidyverse and shinny packages Proficient in SQLKnowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Python and Git workflowPositive and can-do attitude, pro-active and flexibleExcellent interpersonal skills and team orientedKnowledge of finance and economics will be an advantage
