*SUMMARY:*We are currently seeking anAlcohol and Drug Counselorto join ourUNIT team. This part-time role will primarily work on-site.
Purpose of this position:Under general supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, provides assessment, referral and rehabilitative services to patients with addictive disorders in accordance with Minnesota Rule Chapter 9530 and Minnesota Statute 148F specific to practices and responsibilities of licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADC).
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Conducts initial interviews with patient and recommends appropriate rehabilitative servicesProvides case management and discharge planning servicesConducts screenings and brief interventionsCoordinates care with patient’s medical and treatment teamConducts funding assessmentsUtilizes community resources for referrals and assistanceCounsels family members as neededConducts intakes, orientations, and counseling (within treatment services)Conducts educational classes and group meetings (within treatment services)Conducts various types of individual and group therapies (within treatment services)Coordinates medical/legal cases, files paperwork for petitions for commitment, and attends court hearings as needed (within consult services)Other duties as assigned*QUALIFICATIONS:*
/Minimum Qualifications:/
At least 880 hours of experience providing alcohol and drug counseling services (Internship experience is acceptable)/Preferred Qualifications:/
In Medication Assisted Treatment Service, experience in methadone treatment and/or a mental health setting is preferred/Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:/
