　　Job Summary

　　Advanced Operations (AO) bridges the working methodology between two core areas of our business. Technology and Innovation (T&I) and Operations. Focusing on the development and introduction of new products and technologies, this role is responsible for delivering advanced quality, sourcing, packaging, and new product manufacturing capabilities whilst representing the operations division in a given project.

　　This role within AO will focus on the delivery of efficient and compliant new product manufacturing capabilities, partnering with T&I, in order to successfully meet critical time-to-market and launch readiness plans.

　　As part of the new product introduction team, the AO Engineer will represent Operations to ensure that design for manufacture (DFM) is a priority.

　　The responsibility for delivery of new manufacturing capabilities will start at design and end with successful integration of a safe, compliant, efficient, and high performing process into Advanced Wound Care Manufacturing.

　　The role will be mostly day based but will require some flexibility in line with business requirements.

　　Key Duties and Responsibilities

　　Primary Lead for Engineering projects that support the company’s strategy related to growth and new product launches.

　　Collaborate with T&I functions to support product development through pilot equipment creation and capacity scale.

　　Develop robust user requirement specifications (URS) and hold vendors accountable to deliver to contracts.

　　Ensure smooth transition from the development stage assuring compliance with regulatory and safety procedures.

　　Manage self / project team’s workload to ensure projects deliver on time and launch dates are met.

　　Responsible for the justification and development of robust equipment business cases to justify projects and capital requests (CARs).

　　Execute continuous improvement strategies as part of equipment development and integration to systematically reduce process variability.

　　Display a hands-on approach to integrating new processes and executing validation activities in line with internal and external standards.

　　Develop Subject Matter Experts through process & maintenance teams to support successful equipment integration into Operations.

　　Use best practices and act as a role model to all functions.

　　Be the technical expert for equipment requirements and delivery in the given project.

　　Manage vendor/OEM effectively and develop excellent relationships.

　　Compliance with EHS requirements and uphold these standards.

　　Compliance with GMP requirements and uphold these standards.

　　Seek and deliver CI opportunities across the site.

　　Position may involve travel up to 20% of the time, mainly to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs.) Locations will vary depending on OEM.

　　Most trips will include overnight travel.

　　About You

　　Key competencies and characteristics candidates need to demonstrate in order to help build our diverse, inclusive culture and to be successful in the role.

　　Degree qualified in an Engineering Discipline

　　Member of Professional Body such as IET and working towards CEng status preferred.

　　Proven Experience with Validation and a strong understanding of this.

　　Experience in Medical Device: ISO 13485 (or pharmaceutical) Manufacturing required.

　　Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)

　　Excellent written skills, experienced in technical report writing

　　Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders up to VP level and above.

　　Desirable characteristics:

　　Automation experience

　　Time served engineer.

　　Experience of introducing new products/processes

　　Experience with Minitab and CAD would be beneficial
