  Summary

  Building on a legacy of more than a century of naval shipbuilding, HII’s Mission Technologies division is accelerating national security solutions to a wide variety of government and commercial customers worldwide.

  The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) mission is to deliver nuclear capabilities Warfighters use every day to deter and assure. AFNWC provides, maintains, and sustains our war-winning nuclear capabilities to ensure operational readiness and effectiveness for assets around the world. One of these vital assets, conceived in 1979 and operational in 1990, is the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3), which remains a viable system to support the NATO nuclear deterrence mission. The Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate mission is to develop, integrate, and sustain air delivered nuclear capabilities for warfighters to employ anywhere in the world at any time in order to deter our adversaries and assure our allies. As the Center postures itself for a digital transformation, the Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate intends to move forward with the strategic implementation of Digital Engineering from a mission and functional perspective.

  We are actively recruiting for an Acquisition Analyst with a SECRET security clearance who has sound knowledge of DOD acquisition processes for Air Force programs that deliver and sustain warfighting capabilities.

  Essential Job Responsibilities

  Apply interaction, communication, coordination, organizational and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines to effectively assist Air Force programs to deliver and sustain Air Force warfighting capabilities.

  Oversee the cost, schedule and performance of this contract and have demonstrated expertise in personnel resource allocation/supervision and contract management

  Provide day-to-day on-site Program Management Support services that include, but are not limited to, assisting the WS3 PMO Staff in all activities related to capability acquisition to include writing and reviewing related program documents, tracking contracting actions, creating and reviewing travel authorizations and vouchers in DTS, and providing up to date status information.

  Conclude and devise solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness and compliance, develop and draft acquisition documentation, and ensure quality control.

  Minimum Qualifications

  At least 5 years of experience managing projects of similar size, scope and complexity with a Bachelor's degree (at a minimum) from an accredited institution in a technical engineering field, business or management.

  Ideally seeking 5 years of DoD acquisition experience.

  Excellent writing skills and verbal communication skills.

  Must have and maintain a SECRET security clearance for the work to be performed and is required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
