Overview:

Our client, a well-established and dynamic organization in the Captial Region, is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing company that values innovation, teamwork, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and process journal entries and month-end closing activities.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor and analyze budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide assistance during audits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and workflows.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
