Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining strong financial relationships and supporting the smooth operation of our organization. Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
Verify and reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
Vendor Relations:
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors by addressing inquiries and issues promptly.
Ensure all vendor payments are processed on time.
Expense Reporting:
Process employee expense reports, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile corporate credit card statements.
Payment Processing:
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
Review and approve payment batches.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
Organize and archive payment documentation.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
Reporting:
Generate accounts payable reports as needed for management and financial analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations is a plus.
