About 2024 HR Summer Intern - North America

  The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

  Job Summary:

  Nexteer Automotive is looking for a student who will intern with our company the summer of 2024. This position will assist the Human Resources (HR) team with day to day duties and a wide array of projects related to HR.

  Responsibilities May Include:

  Working with the HR Hourly Employment team assisting with day-to-day activities

  Learning and upholding the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the UAW

  Hiring & Recruiting

  Filing and administrative duties as they arise

  Sick leave and vacation coverage (as needed)

  FMLA/Discipline processing

  Attendance Points processing

  Filing paperwork

  Inputting information into site wide databases

  Creating/distributing communication to hourly workforce

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills.

  Strong organizational skills.

  Detail oriented and demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership.

  Strong verbal and written communication, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.

  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

  Education:

  Candidate must be enrolled at a 2-year college or 4-year university

  Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Business

  ​​​​​​​HR Degree preferred, but not required

  Candidate must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
