As the Zero Trust Architect you will be responsible as part of a team of highly skilled professionals for designing, developing, testing and integration of a “from the ground up” new Microsoft on-premises Enterprise IT datacenter for supporting multiple DoD organizations. This is an outstanding opportunity to design and build a new greenfield on-premise cloud solution that will eventually connect to commercial cloud providers. This position offers great opportunities for technical experience and growth. Position includes some work from home flexibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead cybersecurity architecture efforts to design and deploy a layered defense and zero trust architecture strategy, including but not limited to cyber network defense, boundary protection, continuous monitoring, audit, insider threat, and vulnerability management capabilities (i.e., malware detection; eDiscovery; threat intelligence; etc.) specifically using the Department of Defense (DOD) Zero Trust Reference Architecture and NIS 800-53 series guidance
Designing, developing, implementing and/or integrating cybersecurity systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and software environments for systems spanning multiple enclaves/security domains and with differing data protection/classification requirements
Identifying opportunities to build cybersecurity design into systems deployed to operational environments
Assisting technical personnel in the identification and implementation of appropriate cybersecurity functionality to support security policy and federate with enterprise solutions
Assessing current/forecasted customer demand to identify, innovate, design, and build strategies around new cybersecurity opportunities from end-to-end
Developing a flexible platform to allow for rapid integration of capabilities provides by new partners and/or emerging capabilities from ManTech’s current Zero Trust partner landscape
Recognized as a subject matter expert in developing cybersecurity solutions for customers in the Navy community
Providing expert knowledge for the development of cybersecurity architecture designs to optimize mission effectiveness across all aspects of cybersecurity
Providing expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced personnel
Performing / reviewing technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established cybersecurity standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements
12+ years of relevant experience
Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, SSCP)
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, configuring, and deploying COTS solutions
Commitment to excellence and growing future cyber leaders
Experience with the design and implementation of Zero Trust Architecture and related supporting third party products such as Appgate
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps or other code repositories experience
CI/CD pipeline experience
15 years of experience architecting or engineering security services in Federal Government networks
Experience working within NIST 800-53 Protection Layer 3 environments
Experience designing and implementing cross domain solutions
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef and DevOps practices
Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON or Ansible for automation
Strong Azure Infrastructure experience
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years. Candidate must be open to CI poly.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
