　　ABOUT THE TEAM

　　SAP Industry Business Unit Public Sector is a global organizational unit helping all levels of government organizations to maximize public value, SAP for Public Sector solutions enable governments to optimize limited resources in public administration across a wide range of government functions, from accounting and procurement to case management, e.g. for grants and tax and revenue management.

　　THE ROLE

　　We are looking for a highly motivated student (f/m/d) who:

　　Enjoys supporting the execution of innovation and focus programs (e.g. IPSAS-Customer Engagement Initiative, Government 5.0 and Public Sector Accounting, Responsible AI on Public Services) and wants to reuse test cases for S/4 HANA Cloud, public edition for public sector in his master thesis (proposal):Public sector organizations have long worked with a variety of financial reporting processes, principally cash-based accounting systems, and have faced the challenges posed by a lack of standardized international reporting practices. Many public sector entities have been adopting uniform standards towards accrual accounting and review those with Software as a Service packages.

　　Theoretical part:

　　Summary of the available guidance in the IPSASB literature that is relevant in analyzing the accounting treatment of IPSAS Rules. Impact of Software as a Service in the Digitalization process of Public Administrations.

　　Practical part:

　　Survey for Public Administrations best practicing on specific accounting principles when adapting IPSAS.

　　Make use of a SaaS solution (SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition for Public Sector) to indicate S/4HANA best practices to test for specific IPSAS accounting treatments in comparison to IFRS best practice content available in SaaS solutions.

　　Works closely with different parts of the organization to fulfill project objectives and is interested in having customer contact via a phone conversation and in person.

　　Prepares presentation materials, internal communication and serve ad hoc management request

　　You will have the possibility to gain both practical experience and theoretical knowledge within a highly motivated and international team. Supported and guided by a disciplinary and professional Manager, you will be able to gain valuable insights in how SAP helps to run the world better and improve peoples lives.

　　ROLE REQUIREMENTS

　　You are a currently enrolled Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, with a special interest and knowledge in accounting:

　　Basic knowledge in Business Software

　　Good knowledge in MS Office

　　Ability to work both on his/her initiative and in an international team

　　Good in thinking strategically, innovative but also practical

　　Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English, another language is a plus

　　Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills

　　Curious to learn Enable Now and other SAP tools to develop digital learning and presentation assets

　　As an attractive employer we offer you a salary that is based on the current "Kollektivvertrag fr Angestellte von Unternehmen im Bereich Dienstleistungen in der automatischen Datenverarbeitung und Informationstechnik", a minimum of 1700 gross/month/full time, in addtion to generous additional benefits.
