　　The Workforce Career Counselor is responsible for identifying, coaching, and connecting unemployed individuals to career and training services and re-attachment to the workforce.

　　Responsibilities

　　Essential Functions

　　· Provide individualized case management and career counseling to participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement

　　· Develop and update a customized service plan to align with participant employment and training goals

　　· Follow-up with partner agencies to ensure successful engagement in prescribed support services

　　· Counsel, motivate and encourage assigned caseload of participants to develop and guide through a customized career pathway and training opportunities

　　· Perform outreach to participants during job search and job retention through off-site appointments to employers, satellite site locations, and community visits

　　· Maintain organized tracking by documenting all participant interactions, contacts, activities, case notes, and files

　　Qualifications

　　Education and Experience Requirements

　　· Bachelor's degree in social services, counseling, or education preferred or Bachelor's degree in similar areas with experience in counseling of individuals and families

　　· Case management experience preferred

　　· Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude

　　· Must have good driving record and reliable transportation

　　· Bi-lingual skills or experience working with ESL populations a plus
