WMSS Sharps Technician

　　PeopleReady of San Antonio, TX is now hiring WMSS Sharps Technicians! Will be transferring containers and hazardrous and non hazardrous material through out facility. Supports waste mnagement sustainability service onsite program including manual labor associated with medical waste, non hazardous pharmaceutical waste collection, handling packaging , transporting and installing containers. Also assisting when extra personnel are needed and other duties assigned. This is a position focused on hospital waste.

　　Pay Rate:

　　The pay rate for this job is $18 / hour

　　What you'll be doing as a WMSS Sharps Technician:

　　Ensure waste types are properly segregated, regulatory shipment windows are met proper cantainer labeling is adhered to good houskeening is maintained and accurate tracking logs are kept.

　　Identify bes practices that assist customers in reducing waste volumes, increasing operational efficiencies, Identify optimal equipment usage, and generation cose saving.

　　Perform labor intensive activities such as collecting waste throughout the dacility May provide support or direction to less experienced Technicicians. Wears required personal protective equipment. Participates and cooperates in safety process, including following written procedures, attending required training and scheduled meetings.

　　Immediately reports any unsafe canditions, incidents injuries, or property damage to supervisor. Follows Environmnet and Quality Management system (ISO 14001/9001) policy, procedrures and operational controls related to job responsibilities. Maintains compliance with applicable environment, safety and transportation regulations (EPA, OSHA, and DOT) .

　　Displays good customer service and de-escalation skills.

　　Job requirements:

　　Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree

　　High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.

　　Current/updated Vaccines and Covid Test

　　Background check and drug screen required
