Qualifications:Must have Wiring/Electrical experience Education: High school diploma or any combination equivalent to high school, electrical trade school training a plus
Experience:Some electrical experience required.Reading electrical schematics and blueprints a must. Basic rules of electricity a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:1. Interface and communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks.2. Communicate both verbally and in writing.3. Maintain a clean work area.4. Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements.5. Must be available for overtime.6. Operate a forklift.
Primary Responsibilities:1. Ability to wire and install various components (motor controls, burner controls, VFD's, PLC's and components, damper controls, etc.)2. Ability to use hand tools, air tools and power tools to wire commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.3. Ability to bend and install types of conduit.4. Show operational proficiency with Hi-Lo equipment.5. Show operational proficiency with overhead crane equipment.6. Perform and troubleshoot various maintenance tasks.7. Ability to perform start-up and testing procedures.8. Mount electrical devices (transformers, drives, etc.) in a variety of locations and unit types using hand tools. Connect the wiring from the unit to the devices.9. Electrical employees will be responsible for various types of maintenance in the plant and office.10. Must be available for overtime.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:1. MUST HAVE A BIAS FOR ACTION.2. MUST HAVE INITIATIVE TO RESOLVE ISSUES.3. Must be dependable and on-time.4. Previous electrical experience a plus. Travel: Travel is not required for this position.
Working Conditions:1. Lifting required (up to 50lbs).2. Frequent lifting of 50lbs or less is frequent. Overhead cranes or Hi-Lo equipment is available and should be utilized for heavy loads.3. Work performed standing and sitting.4. Shop floor position, heated, not air-conditioned.5. This position must comply with all company policies & procedures.6. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following demands: lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
