Job Title: Wireless Engineer IV - Wi-Fi Design and OptimizationLocation: Greenwood Village, CO 80112 - Requires initially candidates be100% onsite,Duration: 12+ month contract likely to extendPay:W2: $60-$70/hour1099 / C2C: $65-$75/hourOther Requirements:Must be a Wi-Fi expertMust have at least eight years of work experience in Wi-Fi Planning,Design, and optimization.Familiar with 802.11 standards and Wi-Fi alliance developments.Experience with CBRS design and RF planning tools is a must.Number of Positions: 1
JOB OVERVIEWDeep understanding of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax networks.Expertise with, design, and deployment in large, complex,high-density, large venues and/or sports, entertainment facilities,and outdoor environmentsExpert understanding of site survey, predictive design, and post-designvalidation using Ekahau Air magnet and iBwave.Integrate knowledge of building construction, RF behavioralcharacteristics, and current hardware vendor limitations to create a designproposal.Expert level understanding of various antenna types, their uses, and demeritsBasic understanding of TCP/IP protocols, IP networking, and familiaritywith Unix commandsHands-on experience with Cisco, Ruckus controllers, and Access Point withknowledge of vendor-specific systems like Cisco Prime, SCI, DNAC, etc.Hands-on experience configuring controller-based and autonomous access pointsand in-depth understanding of Spectrum and packet capture/analysis.Expertise in defining Wi-Fi network health/performance monitoring KPIs andHands-on experience installing Wi-Fi probes and creating custom dashboards(7Signal preferred)Ability to work with multiple vendors and come up with solutions for improvingWi-Fi performance.Must be able to assess the current network and provide recommendations forperformance improvement.Detailed and thorough, consistent documentation skills for network diagramsand test plans.5G CBRS small cell design experience is good to have.Familiarity with 3GPP specifications, Link Budget, RF design guidelines,and capacity planning/forecastAbility to work with multiple stakeholders including but not limited toproduct owners, operations, vendors, and other engineering teams.Desired Skills / Certifications:11 g/n/ac protocols, Cisco/Meraki APs, Ruckus APsiBwave Level 1 and Level 2 certification required.Ekahau, IBWave, Atoll, OvertureMinimum of Associate level Wi-Fi certifications like CWNA, CCNA-Wireless(CWAP, CCIE-Wireless preferred).Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, PC TEL iB Flex and JDSU Scanners,Net Scout, Packet CaptureDeep understanding of WLAN technologies and network management, includingIEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practicesMust have excellent time management, oral and written communicationskills, and the ability to troubleshoot problems quickly.Dexian / Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS)is an EqualOpportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates withoutregard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity,age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions withover 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
