Amentum is seeking a Welder to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Welder operates various machines and fabrication tools to include lathes, mills, grinders, precision measuring tools, iron worker and sheet metal fabrication equipment on the AUTEC contract. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Perform standard cutting and welding operations to include by not limited to repair work and new fabrication activities based in carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized pipe, plate, structural shapes, etc.

　　Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.

　　Some metal working experience preferred such as the operation of a metal shear, brake, pipe bending, and various cutting tools.

　　Perform other job related duties as assigned.

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Minimum of 2 years practical welding experience at the journeyman level.

　　High school diploma or equivalent.

　　ASW Trained with Proficiency in the following: MIG and Stick Welding required.

　　Valid US Passport and Driver’s license required.

　　Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

　　Must be willing to travel to the Bahamas and reside on a military installation with limited medical facilities.

　　Most work will be shop based, however, there is some remote work to be performed outside the shop on vessels and other building sites on the base.

　　Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
