Summary/Objective:

　　The weld associate position is responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and TIG process. The position communicates with co-workers, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Read job specifications such as blueprints, calipers, and measurements to determine layout and procedures with supervisionDetermine the appropriate equipment and methods based on requirementsSet up, adjust and operate equipment to fabricate parts to specificationsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyEnsure work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standardsMonitor work equipment to ensure usage is within optimum temperature to avoid overheating or expansionOperate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions to weld structural metal to specificationsInspect weld surfaces and structure to ensure accuracy and discover flawsTacks assemblies togetherRepair improperly welded pieces and fill holesIdentify, tag and remove non-conforming materialsAccurately complete all required paperwork in a timely mannerCommunicate with other departments as necessaryKeep work areas clean and organizedAdhere to all company rules and policiesPerforms other related duties as assigned by supervisor
