Operates sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or decorate articles.Observes stitching and fabric to detect defects and notifies Sewing Supervisor when defects are evident.Operates the sew strip cutter and rod cutter.Follows process to change needles as needed.Follows process to change out threads, including cones and bobbins, as needed.Maintains pace at one position of the sewing line that will meet Company expectations without compromising quality guidelines.May work at different work stations as production needs require.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to perform basic math.Must be able to read and interpret tape measurements accurately.Pay and Benefits:
