Sanitation Technician
Description:
In this position, candidates will be working in a food production facility and cleaning machinery and floors. With flour being a main ingredient, the floors will need to be swept throughout the day to maintain a clean facility. In addition to this, working in a food production environment requires a high standard of sanitary equipment. Candidates will be using sanitizing spray with brushes and rags to clean machinery and equipment. There is some physicality involved in the position and requires candidates to move heavy machinery and equipment while cleaning.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Brushing, wiping, and scraping down equipment
Scraping excess dough off machinery
Using plastic and metal scraper
Pressure washing equipment with cleaning chemicals between production runs
Using bleach and industrial grade detergent
Moving heavy production equipment and working in tight spaces
Maintaining equipment up to GMP standards
Working alongside other co-workers and working efficiently
Wearing appropriate PPE
Sweeping floors
Shift:
This position has 2 shifts, a day shift and an overnight shift. The shifts will be on a 2 week rotating schedule around the production schedule. Production is down on Sundays which is why the Sanitation team works every Sunday.
1st Shift: 6:00am to 4:30pm
2nd Shift: 8:00pm to 6:30am
Week 1: Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
Week 2: Sunday/Monday/Friday/Saturday

This position requires candidates to be working on their feet for the entire 10 hour shift. Need to be able to stand and move for entire shift.
