Division: ContiTech USA, LLC
To be a liaison between hourly employees and the management team by helping drive initiatives in safety, quality, efficiency, and on time delivery. Follow through on directions from the Head of Production and VS Managers to insure excellent shift overlaps through utilizing the GEMBA Boards, Kamishibai Boards, KPI's, Safety Talks, etc.
Essential Functions
Follow and train employees on standards for setting up, changing, and inspecting all products/equipment/tooling - based on work order (PRT), Standard works, one-point-lessons, and safety/quality system requirements.Maintain a clean and safe work environment by driving 6S improvement in the work areaMotivate team members to accomplish site goalsRecommend process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and efficiencySolve problems and troubleshoot issues with team membersCoach team members to success in a positive manner under numerous circumstancesAbiding by corporate and handbook policies and procedures, behavior-based safety rules, etc.Ensuring completion of crane and forklift checklist every day without exception.Using Heijunka board and staging for order changes proactively and ahead of time using the tools throughout the plant as intended (staging slips, yellow staging racks, etc.) to reduce machine downtime.Using all quality systems to ensure the best product quality for our internal and external customers (QC Hold, BOMcR, DCR, world-wide defect catalogue, etc.). Completing all paperwork and checklist timely and with values in every required field, box, or cell.Notifying management immediately of issues using proper channels of communication (GEMBA escalations, MWR's, direct communication with direct supervisor).Completing daily Gemba walk and stretching program. (Everyone stretches together at the same time, and all required stretches).4th Shift: Saturday and Sunday with one floater day during the week. 6am to 6pm
5th Shift:Saturday and Sunday with one floater day during the week. 6pm to 6am
