Summary
The Logistics Weekend Extended Coverage Representative is responsible to provide support to ATS Logistics Services, Inc., by implementing sound customer service principles and by aiding in brokerage operations and carrier compliance by working both in-house and various other offices and divisions of ATS Logistics throughout the U.S. while acting as the liaison between the carriers and shippers. The hours are from 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday through Monday.
Education and Experience
1-2 years administrative background or education preferred.
High School Diploma required with higher education (2 year degree) preferred.
Good understanding of operations, marketing, sales and customer service.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
Sound decision making while achieving results in a fast paced environment.
Good organizational skills enhancing the ability to provide timely reliable work.
Strong customer service skills.
Self-motivated and takes initiative to get work done.
Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide operational & carrier compliance support for ATS Logistics.
Compile and organize a list of loads from Operations and Sales that the team wants checked throughout weekend in regard to pick-ups and deliveries.
Respond to incoming calls, emails, etc. and provide information to carriers and customers looking for information (i.e. PU numbers, challenges getting loaded or unloaded, or customers looking for the locations of trucks).
Update information in LME maintaining current status of trucks, deliveries and pick-ups.
Contact drivers that we are not receiving electronic tracking data to determine location.
Update sales and operations throughout the weekend as needed.
Provides basic quotes and some negotiation, escalates to the appropriate sales or operations or managers contact if needed.
Resolve issues they are capable of or escalates the issue to the appropriate sales or operations contact.
Provide support to Logistics Carrier Compliance as needed as well as other divisions.
Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours and infrequent travel may be required.
