Position Title: Wave Planner

　　Department: Distribution & Transportation

　　Reports To: Distribution Supervisor

　　Job Summary:

　　This position contributes to the productivity of the Winchester Distribution Center, by ensuring that all allocated shipments are planned according to ship date, waved & able to be released to the warehouse floor to be picked/packed. Responsible for balancing workflow of domestic commercial loads, export containers, live loads, & miscellaneous shipments. This position will work closely with other members of the organization by assisting in handling operational needs as they pertain to Distribution, including serving as an extension of the Logistics Coordinator.

　　Duties & Responsibilities:

　　- Prepares distribution schedule for all outbound loads, organizing the paperwork for all shifts as they complete the loads.

　　- Monitors and maintains available work to ensure Operations can meet KPIs and SLAs.

　　- Proactively coordinates and communicates any workload needs that deviate from plan.

　　- Escalates any issues/areas needing attention to support Operations, where appropriate.

　　- Continually monitor workload waves progress throughout the shifts.

　　- Corrects systematic errors as they occur, escalating when needed.

　　- Continually evaluates the effectiveness of systems/processes and recommend changes/improvements, where appropriate.

　　- Serves as an extension of the Logistics Coordinator, filling in where needed to ensure daily workload & productivity goals can be met.

　　- Perform other related duties as assigned.

　　Skills & Competencies:

　　· 1-2 years in a Transportation/Distribution environment.

　　· Strong time-management, organizational, planning & self-motivation skills.

　　· Ability to handle changing priorities & use good judgement in gray area situations.

　　· Systems experience (ERP, TMS, WMS).

　　· Microsoft Office suite experience.

　　· Excellent communicator – verbal, written, & interpersonal.

　　· Leadership skills – able to give and receive feedback.

　　· Detail oriented.

　　· Stellar customer service & collaboration skills.
