Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Wastewater Technician. The Amarillo, TX location is part of Eaton's Elecrical Sector within the United States. Site focuses in on the manufacturing of Manufacturer of conduit, cable fittings, enclosures, plugs and receptacles; industrial lighting fixtures; signals and alarms; controls and electrical apparatus; commercial outlet boxes and hubs; specialized interconnect products. Total product line consisting of 100,000 products. Position offers a 40 hour work week being Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime depending on production and customer demand. The hourly rate for this position is $23.82 - 29.78 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Conduct all environmental activities required for the collection & disposition of wastes; operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant; response to emergencies according to the requirements of relevant facility plans; and maintenance of a chemical storeroom.
In this Function:
Follow specific written and verbal instruction regarding the performance of relevant functions as may be detailed in ISO 14001 or ESP procedures or work instructions.
Maintain inventory records, either written or computer based, that are required for the control and reorder of chemicals depleted from stock via issues to production and wastes generated.
Perform all functions required for the safe transport, storage, dispensing, handling and disposition of wastes and chemical inventory.
Interface with the Waste and lab contractors, the EHS Manager, and generating groups as required.
Perform sample collections as required for wastewater analyses or waste characterization along with a chain of custody record when required.
Perform the necessary field tests for completion of the facility Discharge Monitoring Reports in compliance with the NPDES Permit, as instructed by the EHS Manager.
Proper classification and cataloging of wastes for record keeping requirements, as instructed by the EHS Manager
Follow work instructions developed via ISO14001
Participate in emergency responses as required by the facility emergency response plans and assume the position of leadership for team members with less experience in need of direction.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required):
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
At least 1 year of chemical experience within a manufacturing or lab setting or Associate’s or bachelor’s in chemistry or another science.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Preferred:
Experience with managing and presenting ISO audits.
Experience with handling and disposing of heavy metals and wastewater.
Ability to perform ISO 140001 audits.
Ability to perform electrical plating on metals.
