Job Description
AECOM is searching for a Wastewater Technical/Field Support Specialist for a temporary position that will be based from our Markham, ON office but will be expected to work on-site at a client location in the Durham area.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for collecting samples in the Plant facilities as required (Incineration, Dewatering, Liquid Modules, Digesters) to support Capital Projects (such as design criteria, compliance, process optimization).
Responsible for reviewing IFC drawing package and generating the CMMS/MAXIMO in preliminary format for Embedded Project Engineer to review.
Supporting Embedded Project Engineer in verifying existing equipment and pipe route during Construction Capital Projects.
Supporting Embedded Project Engineer during SPC and Incineration commissioning and working with Consultants and Vendors as required.
Verifying critical spare parts inventory in the incineration facilities and identify the required spare parts to be budgeted in next year.
Uploading and Posting Inspection Reports in the Maximo and Region’s networks.
Plant Operation:
Supporting Embedded Project Engineer to generate weekly Incineration Simplified Schedule and construction update as needed.
Generating Incineration Monthly Reports by extracting information from the Maximo system and the Repair Status from Incineration Staff.
Measuring SO2 and entering SO2 results into the eRIS system. Extracting data from eRIS for engineering analysis.
Making labels in the field to be added in the field for clear identification of piping, power source of equipment, device, and panels.
Maintaining accurate records of all setpoints of safety valves in the field and update the O&M safety valves spreadsheet
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience
Experience working with municipal water and/or wastewater treatment plant operation equipment such as pumps, turbines, compressors, cooling towers, gas systems, and HVAC equipment.
Preferred qualifications:
WHMIS and other safety related certificationsAdditional Information
