We have operated in Colorado for more than 100years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmlingand Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. OurHenderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by theContinental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles isunderground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.
DescriptionUnder frequent supervision, performs a variety of routine warehouse dutiesinvolving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement,and distribution of goods and materials at assigned site.
Receive, inspect and unload goods and materials and place into inventoryProcess reservations and issue material to end users, including viawalk-up requestsReceipt by warehouse personnel trigger supplier payment of several milliondollars each monthOperate various heavy equipment, up to and including fork lifts (up to36,000 lbs), 966 loaders, boom trucks, pickup trucks withtrailers, pallet jacks and cartsDeliver material to end users, capture proof of delivery signatures,and maintain a record of delivered itemsImplement policies designed to maintain inventory in usable condition andensure reliability, including: visual inspection of inventory on anongoing basis; wrapping, lubrication and maintenance of criticalcomponents; and rotation of movable elements of inventoryUtilize site SOPs and product literature to understand and completeassessment of equipment/productsUpdate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) as needed to:Initiate restock of items as necessaryMaintain records of delivered items and remaining inventoryUpdate manual or automated inventory listingsSet customer expectations by communicating delivery times and possibledelays if expectedPerform other duties as requestedQualifications include but are not limited to:
One (1) year of Warehouse experience in mining or similar industry,including one (1) year of consistent operation of a variety of heavyequipment within a warehouse environment (e.g. loaders, forklifts,applicable warehouse equipment)Detailed understanding of warehouse inventory control systems, purchaseorders and accounts payable processes and methodsSolid computer skills with proficiency in email, and an understanding ofMicrosoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)Firm understanding/use of automated Warehouse Management Systems (e.g.SAP, Barcoding Systems or related software)Excellent customer service skillsDisplay a professional can-do attitudeAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safetyprecautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsPreferred Qualifications:
