Description

We are in search of a Warehouse Manager in the Milford, Massachusetts area. The role involves managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, and distribution activities. The Warehouse Manager will be expected to introduce efficiencies through technology, ISO, and Lean processes, and manage a team dedicated to maintaining quality and safety in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, such as receiving, logistics, space management, picking productivity, shipping, and customer service

• Supervise the warehouse team, managing workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime

• Maintain all warehouse equipment via a preventative maintenance program and oversee general maintenance when necessary

• Collaborate with warehouse leads regularly to analyze productivity and develop plans for improvement

• Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach performance goals

• Implement and maintain a warehouse management system to improve efficiencies throughout the warehouse

• In collaboration with the Inventory Manager and Quality team, implement the Quality Management program to exceed quality standards

• Review and prepare staffing requirements, warehouse space allocations, and action plans to meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service

• Work with the Inventory Manager to maintain an accurate inventory count with daily cycle counts

• Provide proper security and surveillance systems for the warehouse

• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 certification for the warehouse

• Supervise the entire warehouse staff, providing timely feedback on employee performance and ensuring time tracking processes are adhered to by warehouse staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in a warehouse management role

• Proficient in Warehouse Distribution and Duties

• Experience working in a Warehouse Environment

• Familiarity with Warehouse Inventory procedures and systems

• Proven skills in Warehouse Management

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Management principles

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards

• Experience in Distribution Management

• Understanding of OSHA Standards, OSHA Safety, and OSHA Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using warehouse management software and databases

• Ability to perform physically demanding work when necessary

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.
