Essential Functions Enforces operationalprocedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoingshipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouseinventory current. Inspects physical condition of warehouse andequipment. Coordinates repairs for equipment with outside vendors and/orforklift mechanics. Oversees warehouse in absence of Warehouse Manager.Reports high cost repairs to department manager. Works with productionsupervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities withactivities of other functions such as production, sales, recordscontrol, and purchasing. Reports higher level issues to management.Oversees receiving and cycle count activities. Trains all new warehouseemployees and re-evaluates training needs based on individualperformance. Coordinates staffing requirements to cover attendanceshortage. Directs salvage of damaged or used material. Performs monthend inventory and cycle counts to ensure physical inventories reconcilewith books. SuperUser (Advance team member) for Warehouse WMS systemEnsures maintenance of clean, orderly and safe warehouse. Participatesin planning personnel safety and plant protection activities. Regularand predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
