This type of engineer works with Supply Chain software systems, hardware and other components to construct a cohesive business solution. A system integrator generally combines subsystems into a single integrated solution and executes tasks such as acquiring subsystems from various contractual suppliers, analyzing information technology needs and developing a complete solution design. The Systems Integrator also requires comprehensive technical skills in software technologies, material handling and automation equipment as well as problem-solving skills to be successful.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to operate in highly complex automated warehouse environments
Strong software solution fundamentals including integration methodologies
Knowledge of various material handling and automation technologies such that “best fit” components can be recommended to clients.
Experience building large-scale, fault-tolerant highly integrated systems
Experience in operational design and optimization of human / automation interaction.
Ability to manage technical portion of all stages of development process: design, testing, implementation, operational support ·
Willingness to work in an agile, team development environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Identify scope, develop proposals, and create efficient and effective designs for client(s)
Develop relationships and cultivate future work opportunities with clients and facilities as work is performed
Travel as required (domestic and/or international) for field work and/or other client/business objectives (25-35% annually, with surges up to 50% at times)
Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others
Communicate effectively across all levels within organization
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Computer Systems of Management Information Systems or a combination of 2 or 4 year technology degree supplemented with equivalent technical training or experience
10+ years of relevant software or systems design/implementation experience with exposure to supply chain systems/engineering environments, including systems integration and troubleshooting complex projects
