The award-winning hotel has multiple venues for inspiring events including the grand Godolphin Ballroom and 16 meeting rooms.

  About the Job:

  An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Waiter / Waitress to join the Food and Beverage Services team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main purpose of this role is to provide quality food and beverage service that is consistent with the SBU SOP at all times. Is required to work in a variety of air-conditioned environments such as restaurants but may also be required to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. Maybe required to work in split-shifts and late-night shifts and will also be exposed to a smoky environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.

  • Provides table and or counter service of all menu items.

  • Provides table and or counter service of alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Updates food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties.

  • Provides advice on food and beverage to guests.

  • Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.

  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served, and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager.

  • To anticipate and serve guests requirements before requests is necessary.

  • To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.

  • To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and has all tables set according to standard.

  • To report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.

  • To recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.

  • To classify buffets, displays or side stations.

  • To keep service area clean and tidy.

  • To provide unobtrusive and professional service in accordance with our sequence.

  • To provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant operation.

  • To identify potential problems and ask for assistance before a breakdown occurs.

  • To provide lateral service within the hotel whenever needed.

  • Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.

  About you:

  In order to be considered for this role you will have at least two years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment.

  You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must. Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.

  Should be able to quickly learn and adapt to a new work environment.
