  MWR Academy Officer’s ClubDUTIES :

  Major Duty Description : The purpose of this position is to perform work involved in preparing dining room or party room, serving food, wines, and other alcoholic beverages, and subsequent cleaning functions.

  Responsibility : Assigned to workstation by the supervisor and given specific and detailed instructions. Responsible for complying with standard methods and procedures such as conduct, etiquette, dress code, and table setting techniques.

  Working Conditions : Work is normally performed inside with adequate lighting and heat. Exposed to the possibility of minor cuts, bruises, and slippery floors.

  Performs other duties as assigned.

  QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  Minimum:

  1.Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.

  2.Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, walk and do moderate lifting for long periods of time.

  3.Must have knowledge of and maintain a high standard of sanitation, courtesy, and expeditious service

  .

  Preferred:

  1.Experience serving beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence. Knowledge of proper food handling techniques such as the correct side to serve from and the correct side to remove from.

  2.Knowledge of the composition of all food items on the menu, whether American or Foreign; the available beverages and wines and which wines complement specific meals and their proper serving temperatures.

  3.Skill in proper table setting techniques. Knowledge of simple math calculations in order to tabulate checks.

  4.Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol.

  Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment for payroll and travel purposes.
