This position leads industrialization that includes design of Danoneproducts, sourcing, third party manufacturing, as well as Happy Familyand Specialized Nutrition business for North America (US and Canada).Altogether this function is responsible for the growth driven by innovationand partners with Research and Innovation and Operations in North America,as well as our Central quality teams to enable the growth of Danone products.This role will lead a team of professionals responsible for mitigating riskthrough application of scientific principles, employment of technicalexperience and knowledge of supplier operations for raw ingredients andpackaging materials, regulatory and third party certifications in FoodSafety and Quality. This individual will represent the QFS function withinthe D2D organization through partnerships with Commercialization and TechnicalExcellence, R&I, C&P, Operations and Business Unit functions.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as a strategic partner to several functions across the enterpriseincluding global teams, Food Safety and QFS Boards, Engineering,Commercialization and Technical Excellence, R&I, Project Management,Procurement, and Planning teamsLead organization of approximately 30 people, with responsibility on allprojects in the portfolio including innovation, renovation, sourcing,productivity and business continuity.Develop QFS strategy in partnership with VP QFS Operations and Chief QFSOfficer North America; Implement Quality Business Plan, aligned with theNorth America and the Corporate Business & Quality & Food Safety Strategies.Develop and drive sustainable Quality and Food Safety programs originatedlocally or centrally commissioned by Danone. At all times deliver customer &consumer expectations and North America and corporate guidelines andstrategiesDevelop Quality teams, support cross functional development, broadbusiness understanding, and form strong relationships with external partners(universities, relevant bodies)Drive QFS digital transformation, enabling traceability, appliedstatistics and modeling as neededDevelop, manage, and improve on key performance metrics with focus on E2Daccountability.Act as key point of contact for QFS in sourcing and design to seniorleadership, including management of crisis - directly or indirectly withrespect to QFS concerns.Partner cross-functionally to ensure that QFS is built into all processesBuild and grow Design to Delivery relationships and strengthen ways of workingManage team developmental plans and performance issues.Lead change and improve ways of workingLead troubleshooting of problems associated with supply, process and productacross all facilities (internal and external); ensure root cause /corrective actions are appropriate and are fully implementedDevelop partnerships with global functional peers and participate cross WBU asapplicableDeliver Danone Quality & Food Safety Compliance and improvement across themanufacturing networkUtilize Six Sigma, Lean, and/or other continuous improvement concepts toimprove quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.Stay current with all regulatory and certifying agency guidelines.
