  CVS Health is seeking to hire a VP of Product Development for Payor Solutions business which is a payor-agnostic, population health solutions business unit that improves health outcomes and reduces costs for health plans and plan sponsors. These products are sold to health plans, employer/commercial, as well our own internal business units. The goal is to align functional expertise for the wide variety of care management, clinical, and analytical products. Examples of the products include Accordant, Weight-Loss Management, and Active Health Lifestyle and Condition Coaching.

  This innovative leader will be responsible for leading an effective and connected team that will set the strategy and product roadmap for the Payor Solutions business and lead the team to execute the strategy. This leader will need to be decisive, and solution oriented to ensure each product is maximizing client savings value, ensuring best member experience, and delivering established financial targets. This will require a person who is able to create and maintain solid relationships across the organization, provide clear leadership to their team and represent the CVS Payor Solutions to external clients and audiences. This leader must engage with subject matter experts and have an effective understanding of the various factors critical to the success of CVS Payor Solutions products; this includes: clinical, member experience, physician experience, operations, client sales process, financial and others.

  Team and Organizational Leadership

  • Build and maintain and effective team to ensure all products are appropriately supported both in terms of ongoing management/results but also new development to be meeting emerging market/client needs

  • Establish and grow connections with key partners across the organization: clinical, operational, member experience, physician connectivity, operations, finance, analytics, sales, consultant relation and others.

  • Create and drive Care Solution growth strategy, enabling Care Solution to achieve annual revenue targets

  Manage and Optimize Performance

  • Monitor performance of each product to ensure each is meeting or exceeding its goals for client, member and Care Solution.

  • Ensure each product is updated to continue to meet overall organization goals for client cost management, member experience, and organization finances.

  • Ensure products remain on budget to established budget for IT capital investments, product team headcount/expenses and product financial revenue/profitability.

  • Create a performance optimization competency that enables us to rapidly monitor and interpret key insights and translate them into actions – including market trends, competitive analysis and macro and micro trends within our products

  Innovation and Development

  • Drive the adoption of new solutions. Develop strategy for integrating existing and new products and services into a unified offering for clients and partner with sales and account services, marketing and trade teams to develop client communication strategy.

  • Oversee all stages of product development including product design, commercialization, operational readiness, and performance reporting and optimization.

  • Manage team priorities to ensure necessary balance of time, resources and capabilities are being applied to the most important development needs.

  Client & Industry Understanding

  • Interact with clients to solicit feedback and derive solution concepts that meet their evolving needs; participate in external-facing activities that advance our position as thought leaders, including speaking engagements and conference participation.

  • Ensure team is receiving the necessary insights from clients and the industry overall to best ensure products remain focused on what is most important and new development is directed toward the top client and market needs.

  Required Qualifications

  Approximately 15 years of product experience; at least 10 years of creating and driving product strategy in the healthcare arena

  10+ years of experience leading, scoping, sizing and work planning for new opportunities

  8+ years of experience managing a team, developing growth strategies and launching new products, services or capabilities

  Strong knowledge of Value Based Contracting highly valued.

  Strong knowledge of Care Management point solutions will be required

  Deep analytical abilities. Proven examples of leveraging insights through analytics to inform strategy

  Solid understanding of clinical, member experience, and physician experience

  Strong financial acumen

  Strong people management skills

  Proven ability to achieve established goals while navigating a complex and highly matrixed organization.

  EducationBachelors degree
