This person will lead our Chemical and Mental Health division with a $19 million annual budget serving more than 6,000 individuals each year. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role provides support and operational leadership in designing and implementing components of the strategic plan. The Vice President plays an important internal and external role to achieve successful and efficient operation of its three Service Areas: Substance Use Disorder treatment, Community-based Chemical & Mental Health programs, and Housing. These include a family residential treatment program, co-occuring outpatient treatment programs, transitional recovery housing, mental health case management services, care coordination, mental health clinic, and housing with supportive services. The Vice President supervises three Directors who lead Avivo's program teams, comprised of 175 highly-skilled professionals and who provide services at six metro locations and in Princeton. This role ensures the integration of quality services across Avivo's Chemical and Mental Health and Career Education and Employment Services Divisions and facilitates top operational performance to drive consistency and best practice outcomes. This role will collaborate across Avivo to find efficiencies, remove unwanted complexities, and create higher levels of service to ensure individuals served are on their path to live well and work well. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, maintain and implement effective, financial, strategic and tactical plans for area of responsibility. Use quality and process improvement methodology to assess client servicing, work flow and ensure continual operational improvements. Establish appropriate priorities based on the organization's strategic plan. Ensure compliance plans and procedures are followed at all Avivo service locations. Meet all regulatory requirements. Partner with key stakeholders and work with them to ensure compliance with regulatory, inspecting and funding agencies such as DHS and SAMHSA. Embrace and articulate to internal and external stakeholders the mission and vision of Avivo. Provide leadership and direction for the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, recognition and retention of staff. Nurture a communication system that ensures all employees have relevant, timely and appropriate information to execute on organizational and operational goals. Develop and share expectations that guide, motivate and hold people accountable for their work. Maintain an open door policy that continually provides feedback, coaching and development on an on-going basis. Seek opportunities to develop new services, expand contracts and diversify funding that fits within the mission. Monitor and improve financial performance of the division. Ensure the annual division budgets are developed effectively, services opera e within budgets and variances are communicated. Ensure all programs operate according to contract and regulatory requirements maintaining the highest standards of ethics and accountability. Build, foster and ensure integrated continuum of care. Ensure innovation and changes in services to meet the needs of the changing landscape and individuals served. Demonstrate and understand the importance of customer care. Continually monitor client satisfaction by monitoring client performance and customer feedback. Qualifications Candidates for this key executive position should be experienced, accomplished, and inclusive leaders with a significant background in community leadership of chemical and mental health. A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior role managing a diverse continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization will be required. 5 years demonstrated successful experience managing both mental health and chemical health services. A degree in human service related field. Master's or doctoral degree in business or healthcare is preferred. Dually-licensed professional (mental health and addictions) is desired.
