Job Description:Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently seeking a SR DevOps Engineer at our Superior Township, MI facility. This position is in the department of Infotainment System SW Development that undertakes various innovation projects related to infotainment and UI/UX systems software development for the next generation vehicle software architecture as well as production application of SW features and service contents.

　　Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop the core software engineer workflows using modern devOps techniquesDefine and configure the devOps environment with a focus on automation, configuration, containerization, and virtualizationCreate integration focused CI/CD to enable efficient stakeholder managementEnable the software to run virtually in the cloud for development and testing purposesDevelop, automate, and maintain the build environment for the embedded automotive softwareAutomate the test deployment infrastructureEnable remote access and maintenance of lab machinesTravel both domestically and internationally (up to 20%)Basic QualificationsB.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and equivalent experienceMinimum 5 year of industry experience of an automotive or IT embedded product developmentProficiency with common devOps software: Openshift, Docker, QEMU, Artifactory, GitLAB or GitHubExperience with cloud development using AWS or Microsoft AzureExperience with the software development life cycle, infrastructure as code, requirements tracking, test automation frameworksExperience with cloud development for CI/CDPrograming experience with C++, C#, Java, Rust, PythonAble to adapt to agile work scope with shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesComfortable with blank-slate initiatives as well as on-going established projectsGood communication skills and ability to develop/keep good relationship with tech experts from R&D Center and internal counterpart teamsPreferred QualificationsM.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field8+ years of experience in a similar roleExperience in production SW lifecycle including requirements, system design, development, and maintenance of the embedded software for vehicle systemsSoftware developer/engineer experience in vehicle infotainment, E/E systems, consumer electronics or any relevant products, especially related to at least one of the following fields: HMI application programing, system programing, and embedded system developmentWorking knowledge of operating systems such as QNX, Linux, Open Source SW, Yocto, and AndroidWorking knowledge of vehicle communication network systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and instrumentation/operation of data acquisition systems such as ETAS/INCA and Vector/CANoeUnderstanding of modern techniques in at least one of the following fields: Machine Learning, Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, or Voice/Speech RecognitionKnowledge in Agile, Waterfall, DevOps development processes and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboou  Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai and KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
