If so, we're looking for individuals like you! Apple is seeking a software quality engineer to join the video streaming technology team within the Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) group. AMT provides the multimedia and graphics software frameworks across all of Apple's innovative products, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod, and Macs, enabling media playback on those devices.

　　Key Qualifications

　　Knowledge of Adaptive Video Streaming Technology (ie. HLS), or other media testing experience

　　Automation experience (creating or applying existing test automation frameworks)

　　Scripting or Programming Experience (ie. Python, Objective-C, or Swift)

　　Performance and functional testing experience

　　Knowledge with networking concepts (QoS, packet traces) is a plus

　　Description

　　We are looking for an exceptional engineer who has experience in streaming technology (ie. HLS), performance testing, app development, and automation development. This role will work very closely with the development team and other multi-purpose teams to ensure quality is of the highest level. Your focus will span in areas that involve: - Defining and implementing functional and performance tests in the video streaming space - Automating test scenarios in the media streaming space on iOS/tvOS/macOS - Creating tools (apps, scripts, etc) to help with testing efforts - First level triaging and analysis of issues found during testing - Engaging with other multi-functional QA teams to understand and leverage testing coverage outside the team - Reporting of test results to various cross functional teams

　　At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,800.00 and $229,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
