　　Context, the award-winning news platform of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, is looking for an ambitious Video Journalist excited to tell important stories around climate, technology and economic inequality. You will shoot, edit, report, write and produce in-depth explainers and features for Context.news and our YouTube channel.

　　About the Role:

　　As a Video Journalist at Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:

　　Pitch smart stories and explainers on climate, economic inequality, and technology's impact on society for Context.news and our YouTube channel.Distill complicated ideas and stories through clear and concise script writing.Take creative risks and experiment with new forms of video storytelling.Collaborate with video producers and correspondents around the world.Shoot, edit and use motion graphics to take videos from start to finish.

　　About You:

　　To be a Video Journalist at Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will likely have:

　　At least three years of reporting and video production experience.Strong understanding Premiere and experience with After Effects.A desire to experiment with video storytelling formats.A knack for finding interesting angles on stories around climate change, economic inequality and technology.A desire to tell stories from around the world with a global audience in mind.An understanding of current trends on YouTube, whether they are topics, formats, or visual styles.A second language or experience with international reporting is a major plus.

　　Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $58,900 - $109,400. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
