Reporting directly to the General Manager, the VP of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new representatives and markets, developing a product roadmap, and working closely with the National Sales Manager and Engineering Manager to achieve company objectives. This role will be based in Houston, Texas, and will play a critical role in shaping the company's future growth trajectory.Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential representatives and markets to expand J Flow Controls' customer base and increase market share.Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and penetration into new markets.Collaborate closely with the General Manager, National Sales Manager, and Engineering Manager to align business development efforts with sales and product development objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective representatives, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.Work closely with the Engineering Manager to develop a product roadmap that aligns with market needs and customer demands.Lead the evaluation and selection of new representatives, distributors, and strategic partners to expand J Flow Controls' market reach.Provide guidance and support to the National Sales Manager in developing sales strategies, setting targets, and monitoring sales performance.Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify potential opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership on market trends, competitive analysis, and business development strategies.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Proven track record of success in business development and sales leadership, preferably in the valve or industrial manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of the oil and gas, chemical, power generation, semiconductor, biofuel/ethanol, water and wastewater, food and beverage, marine, pharmaceutical, and HVAC industries.
Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate new representatives and markets, resulting in successful business partnerships and market expansion.
