About Vice President, Global Corporate Communications

  We’re looking for a Vice President, Global Corporate Communications who will be responsible for leading the vision and strategy of global communications and public relations at Hootsuite. In this role you will build, design and articulate the narrative for the organization. You will find a way in through being scrappy and creative with influencers and media. You will craft and protect the voice of Hootsuite by aligning key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and compelling corporate message. The Vice President, Global Corporate Communications will report to the Chief Marketing Officer. 

  WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  Lead the global corporate communications team, developing and implementing a framework for strategic planning and resource allocation of the communications function to influence and impact Hootsuite's long term business strategy. Hire, lead, mentor and develop a team of senior professionals and people leaders. Perform full scope of people-management responsibilities in alignment with Hootsuite's DE&I objectives Drive the vision, design and execution of an integrated global external communications and public relations strategy. In collaboration with our brand team, design and oversee a global content framework, including driving proactively earned reach opportunities in marketing trade through innovative creative work. Be a creative partner to marketing leaders in establishing opportunities. Directly advise and counsel CEO and executive team on external media and public relations opportunities and communications. Enable executives to deliver key, compelling messaging that are on brand. Oversee Hootsuite's customer advocacy and experience strategy in order to drive innovation and alignment, new lead generation, and support growth in Hootsuite's global brand awareness and positioning.  Develop and implement innovative and creative ideas and plans, including Tier 1 global speaking engagements, to support tripling of brand growth of Hootsuite. Proactively identify emerging global communications trends, challenges or risks while continuing to evolve and optimize strategies and deliver on global KPIs.  Partner with product marketing and brand to create a steady drumbeat of industry buzz (social media and marketing trade)  for our product innovation strategy. Continually leverage, assess and analyze media and key influencer relationships to ensure strategic alignment and business results. Collaborate cross-functionally with executive and senior leaders, providing guidance and thought leadership on the execution and planning of external and corporate communications. Oversee crisis communications planning and execution. Perform other related duties as required.

   

  WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

  Advanced level of experience in corporate communications, professional writing, and/or PR. Proven leadership and coaching experience in fast-paced environments. Exceptional external communications experience with a fluency in social and the most current and leading edge communications practices to create a differentiated brand. Experience aligning key stakeholders to decisions and advising, coaching and guiding executive leaders on campaigns, crisis management plans and general communications. A growth mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Courage to address difficult issues, seeking first to understand.   Canada Pay Range For This Role

  $200,000—$250,000 CAD

  US Pay Range For This Role

  $216,000—$250,000 USD
