Vice President, Finance Business Partner, Open Banking
Overview:
The Vice President, Finance Business Partner, Open Banking position is a global business unit finance leader responsible for all financial aspects of the Open Banking businesses, and a member of the Finance Leadership Team reporting to the CFO, P&E Finance and is a member of the P&E Finance and Open Banking Leadership teams. This role is responsible for Financial Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial processes and controls, Planning and Objective Setting, and Business Partner support.
Role:
• Partners with the Open Banking business unit leader and other areas of the company to formulate and implement business unit strategy
• Responsible for leading the annual planning process, forecasts, results analysis, and ongoing assessment of risks and opportunities
• Partner with the business to evaluate new growth areas from strategic, operational, and financial perspectives and model potential investments, business partnerships, and initiatives
• Work with the Open Banking business to design business cases for product initiatives that call for significant investment and participate in pitching/syndicating the proposed initiatives
• Leads the development of materials to support ongoing business reviews: Monthly Performance Packages, Operating Reviews, Business Unit Reviews, scorecard updates and dashboard reviews.
• Drive incremental revenue and profitability across Open Banking by leveraging analytical and influencing skills
• Leads the development and implementation of streamlined processes to manage the financial needs of the business function
• Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk (financial, operational, legal, regulatory, etc.)
• Works with business unit leaders to set objectives, develop plans and establish KPIs
• Generate investment capacity through effective cost management and identification of efficiencies
• Lead and develop a high performing team, maintaining high engagement and contribution
• Develops insight into internal and external corporate governance and business issues
• Develops a deep understanding of current and emerging product lines, services, and programs
• Maintains key finance-related relationships with other business units, Corporate Finance, and external parties

• Proven ability to lead and build high performing teams, history of strong leadership, teamwork and the ability to work in a matrixed organization
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated history of thoughtful risk taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment and strong sense of urgency
• Executive presence, ability to influence others and intellectual horsepower
• MBA and/or CPA preferred (in Finance/General Management)
• Solid accounting skills, excellent finance skills including modelling and scenario analysis, budget, planning and forecast experience, experience in risk management and a solid understanding of the business or demonstrated learning agility are required. Operational experience very desirable
• International experience is a plus

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
