　　Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2024 Intern Vehicle Systems Engineer. In this role, you will perform such duties as: Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering designs and development. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. May develop and produce materials and hardware necessary for use in laboratory tests and products. Assists in acquisition of hardware/ record keeping under the leadership of engineering personnel utilizing appropriate Aeronautics and Laboratory tools and process.

　　Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.

　　- Familiar with general principals of systems engineering

　　- Highly motivated individual with the ability to learn continuously and the ability to identify multiple avenues to successfully reach team goals.

　　- Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations.

　　- Strong written and oral communication skills.

　　- Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers.

　　- Microsoft Office Skills - of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.

　　Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

　　Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
