Summary of Duties
As the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) Transfer Coordinator, you will perform a variety of professional student services functions in support of transfer students.
With a focus on student support and success, you will be responsible for coordinating student recruitment and mentoring events; arranging campus visits; creating educational and recruitment materials; assessing academic level; responding to academic inquiries; developing individual academic plans; educating students in the areas of academic planning, interpretation of degree, department, school, college and university requirements, career exploration, and other related matters; counseling non-students about possible admission to university programs; and providing academic planning advice for prospective transfer students.
You may also be responsible for training and supervising undergraduate student employees and presenting academic advising information to groups of students both in person and online.
Required Qualifications Student Services Coordinator 1: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Required Qualifications Student Services Coordinator 2: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience working with students in an educational setting or related experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Experience leading or direction the work of others. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications for All Applicants:
• Master's degree in related field.
• Experience with academic advising and related issues.
• Experience with reading and evaluating transcripts for transfer students.
• Experience working with and maintaining student records.
• Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.
