Job Description

　　Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

　　The Vascular Lab provides the finest diagnostic testing and treatment available for patients with acute and chronic vascular disorders. Our highly trained technologists are expert in the examination of arteries and veins throughout the body, and perform intra-operative vascular exams and pseudo-aneurysm compression therapy, among others.

　　As the Vascular Lab Technician, you will form a part of the specialized team at the Vascular Center so that patients with vascular disorders can receive compassionate, quality care. This position requires advanced skills and knowledge in this specialty area and in working with adult patients. We are looking for someone with a specialized understanding of this procedure and protocol, excellent communication and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

　　Minimum Qualifications: Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) Certification, OR CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) Certification, OR ARRT Vascular Sonography Certification, OR equivalent. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card

　　Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience as a registered vascular technologist.
